Meet Juan Paredes

Juan “Ta-To” Paredes is not only a licensed REALTOR® since 2015, but also one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved and dynamic dance instructors. A native of the Dominican Republic and raised in Spanish Harlem, New York City, Juan has embraced his Caribbean roots from a young age—especially through music and dance. His passion for culture and community has been the driving force behind both his professional and artistic journeys. Juan began his dance career in the Tampa Bay area over 14 years ago and quickly became a pioneer of the On1 Salsa and On2 Mambo New York styles in Florida. His infectious energy and charisma on the dance floor have earned him appearances at major concerts, international festivals, and even a featured role in the 2005 film The Punisher. In 2007, he released the Bachata instructional DVD Sabor Dominicano and later founded Latin Groove Dance Company, offering classes, workshops, and events that helped shape the local Latin dance scene.

After a successful stint teaching and judging competitions in Chicago, Juan returned to Tampa in 2014 with his wife to launch their new venture, TATOSALSA, a company dedicated to dance instruction and community engagement. His teaching style—fun, energetic, and deeply rooted in authenticity—has taken him across the globe to countries like Japan, Canada, Panama, Mexico, and beyond.

Whether helping clients find their perfect home or inspiring dancers on the floor, Juan is passionate about bringing joy to people's lives. His unique blend of creativity, dedication, and cultural pride makes him a standout figure in both the real estate and dance worlds of Tampa Bay.
